Karla Ramirez-Segoviano, 21, vanished in San Leandro, CA. on Wednesday. Her battered, stabbed, bludgeoned and burned body was found in a park in Oakland on Thursday afternoon. She was a police explorer volunteer with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
Two people are now in custody on suspicion of her murder. They are a female friend of the young woman's and a male. Neither of them have been named for the public record. Both lived in Oakland.
The young woman had been with the explorer program for four years. She lived with her parents who reported her missing.
It is at this time NOT believed that her murder was related to her work with the sheriff’s office.
