California and Texas share a distinction setting them apart from the other 48 states of the union. Both were at one time independent countries. California may be so again.
According to broadcast news reports (I heard them on the car radio and couldn't write the names down) two rich liberal silicon valley idiots are so offended by the idea of President Donald Trump that they are going to fund a ballot initiative for2018 for California to secede from the union. Maybe then the counties in northern California that have been trying for years to secede from California and form the new state of Jefferson will have the opportunity to do so. Could be both interesting and amusing.
