Arthur Jones is a member of the American Nazi Party and a Klan sympathizer. He is also the Republican candidate challenging Representative Dan Lipinski for the 3rd Congressional District seat in Chicago.
The Chairman of the Illinois Republican Party has completely disavowed Jones. Jones has run for various offices numerous times and was removed from the ballot in 2016. He made it to the ballot this year by way of a significant number of signatures and the fact that no other "Republican" was running against Lipinski. The Republicans are running a write-in campaign, having missed the boat to run as a third party.
A similar nut job, John Fitzgerald, is running for California's 11th Congressional District against incumbent Mark DeSauinier. Fitzgerald, among other things, asserts that about 9% of U. S. Government officials have dual citizenship in Israel. He also claims that Jews played a significant role in the U. S. slave trade and has said that General Eisenhower ran concentration camps that exterminated German's near the end of WWII.
