Donald Jr. and Jared were accompanied by Manafort in their June 2016 meeting with a Russian attorney at the Trump Tower
Rather than go through a second trial, Paul Manafort pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate fully with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Manafort accompanied Donald Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, to the Trump Tower on June 9, 2016 where they met with Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya. The trio were led to believe that Veselnitskaya had some damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
Both Donald Jr. and Kushner testified under oath about that meeting. Manafort might contradict the sworn testimony of the two Trump family members.
Mueller, who is out to get Trump any which way he can, must be licking his chops at the prospect that Manafort will dump on the Trumps.
If Manafort contradicts the sworn testimony of Donald Jr. and Kushner, that could lead to an indictment of the two Trump family members. Right now President Trump, Donald Jr. and Kushner can’t be happy campers.

Manafort is trying to save his own skin. They may get an indictment. But as an old pal of mine in Galveston once winked and said, "An indictment ain't no conviction."
