On the first day of the new congress one of the proposals introduced would shitcan the Electoral College and go to popular vote for electing the Pres and the V.P. I can't see the smaller states buying into that. That was the whole idea of the Electoral College, so small states don't get steamrollered.
That being said about 100 years ago we moved from Senators being elected by state legislatures to being elected by the people, so change is not impossible.
Also articles of impeachment were introduced against Trump, for firing Comey. Of course the President is expressly permitted to fire executive branch officers so they are trying to impeach him for doing something he is expressly permitted to do.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Not exactly. The firing of Comey is believed to have been an attempt to stop the Russian investigation. If so, that would constitute obstruction of justice.

I didn't believe the firing of Comey was an attempt to stop the Russian investigation. I felt it was for the lack of progress in the Hillary investigation.
After almost two fricking years of this "Russia Investigation" and no evidence of criminal activity with Russia has surfaced. Comey should well have been fired for either incompetence or wasting taxpayers money pursuing his personal vendetta.
Drain That Swamp.
Make America Great Again.
I am sorry Howie but I disagree with you on this. Trump had the absolute right to fire Comey for any reason he wanted. Any reason. Whether he SHOULD HAVE is another matter. Personally I think he fired Comey because he came to the conclusion that Comey was a partisan dickhead, but that's just me.
