Levi Strauss has been around for 165 years. Good old Levi made a superior quality pair of denim pants which appealed to the gold miners, cowboys and others way back when.
The company went public a couple of days ago and the shares immediately jumped about 30 %, ending up at $22.41.
Levi used to produce their products here in the U. S. They don't any more. The are also a bunch of anti-gun and anti-gun owner asswipes. In addition the last two pairs of Levis I had wore out VERY quickly. I don't buy them any more.
Levis went public once before, back in 1971. The family bought the company back in 1985. Based on the new stock issue the company is worth about $8 billion.

Levis are expensive. I only buy them for dress pants.
