MEXICO ACTS AGAINST CARAVAN ORGANIZERS

by Bob Walsh

The government of Estados Unidos Mexicos have arrested two people and frozen the assets of more than two dozen others on charges of smuggling migrants into Mexico. This charges appear to be a serious attempt, or at least the attempt to appear to be a serius attempt, by the government of Mexico to stave off American tariff action aimed at Mexican goods moving into the U.S.

Ireno Mujica, director of Pueblo Sin Fronteras, was arrested as was Cristobal Sanchez. Both are described as "activists."

The tariffs are scheduled to kick in this coming Monday unless Trump acts to stop them.

Something like 1% of the population of Guatemala is now in the United States, mostly illegally. At least 4% (and possibly as much as 9% or even 10%) of the population of the United States is here illegally. Roughly half of the illegals came here legally and overstayed their visas.

Mexico is now acting more strongly to seal their own southern border off to prevent these caravans from moving thru Mexico on the first place. Illegal entry into Mexico is a serious crime.

The Mexicans don't care about anything but the Mordida! You pay up and you get through. it's their culture and it won't change.

Which is why Trump's tariff plan is such a good idea. Hit them, (or at least threaten to hit them) in their pocketbook, and suddenly they begin to cooperate.
