THOSE ‘BONE SPURS’ WOULD HAVE KEPT TRUMP FROM TRECKING THROUGH THE JUNGLES OF VIETNAM

Piers Morgan asked trump: “Do you wished you’d served in Vietnam?”

Daily Mail
June 5, 2019

Trump’s answer:

‘I was never a fan of that war. I thought it was a terrible war, it was very far away.

‘Nobody had heard of Vietnam… this wasn’t like fighting against Nazi Germany or Hitler. I wasn’t out on the streets marching or saying I would move to Canada but I wasn’t a fan.

‘I would have been honoured [to serve in the military generally] but I think I’m making up for it now because we’re rebuilding our military at a level you’ve never seen before.’

EDITOR’S NOTE: As a war veteran, I think Trump’s answer was an insult to all those who served in Vietnam.

When he said he would have been honored to serve in the military, he meant only during peacetime when there would be no chance he would have to face an enemy soldier trying to shoot his ass off.

What a preposterous claim that he’s making up for having been a draft dodging coward by rebuilding our military. Unbelievable!

Trump did not even try to get a deferment of one kind or another, relying instead on his wealthy father to find a crooked doctor he could bribe for the diagnosis of a medical problem his son did not have.

The decent thing Trump should have done was to apologize for having been a draft dodger and tell Piers Morgan he feels ashamed for his cowardice ... but then Trump never apologizes for anything and saying he was ashamed would have been a lie. The man has no shame!

There are those who brush aside his cowardice by saying they are proud of Trump for doing so much for our veterans. And they will justify his draft dodging because the Vietnam War was never even a declared war, just a police action that was a tragic mistake in which our own military killed students on a college campus and nearly 60,000 soldiers died before we pulled out. My response to such a lame excuse is: You cannot make chicken soup out of chicken shit!

Our President didn't dodge the question. He answered it. He was right and the reasons you wrote in your last paragraph are all true. Once again, Good Job, Mr. President.

What part of 'you cannot make chicken soup out of chicken shit' don't you understand? Your lame defense of Trump just doesn't fly. His answer to Morgan's question is ridiculous! The man was a coward and used the wealth of his father to avoid the draft. Nothing you can say will change that.

I think you would sing a different tune had you served in Vietnam.

I was 1-A. Missed it by less than a year. Had I been drafted I would have served. That doesn't mean it was right. The Viet Nam Police Action was wrong. The way the draft was handled was wrong. Just ask Ben Barnes who was in charge of the Texas Draft Board. He lives with guilt every day.

Barnes said, He said he still wonders about the anonymous men who died in Vietnam in place of privileged ones he helped stay out. "No one should have that kind of power, and I'll always be sorry that I used it in the way I did," Barnes writes.

BGB, You're beating a dead horse. The whole fucking thing was crooked. It is still an embarrassment to the US. We should have never sent troops to that Hell hole.

That in no way justifies Trump's draft dodging! Again, what part of 'you cannot make chicken soup out of chicken shit' don't you understand?

You're the one that's beating a dead horse by trying to defend Trump's cowardice.

I have no doubt that had you been called up, you would have served and done so honorably and heroically.

Go ahead Nancy, start an investigation. Call it Foot Gate. The Doctor is probably dead, so prove it. Call CNN. Call the FBI or just call someone that gives a shit! It's old news. Nobody fucking cares about a draft dodger from the 60's.

I've enjoyed the banter!

Come on, Trey, take a break. Then maybe your brain will regain its senses.

While others served, fought and died, Trump went the way of the coward.
John McCain was an American hero by any measure. Trump is a disgrace by any measure.
