President Erdogan has announced that Turkish troops will enter Syria to fight against the Kurdish allies of the US
In our fight against ISIS, our main ally was the Kurdish YPG militia in Syria.
Turkey has had a long history of unbridled hatred for the Kurds and has carried out a number of massacres against that ethnic group.
On Sunday, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s Islamist ruler, announced he will send Turkish troops into northern Syria east of the Euphrates River to fight the Kurdish militia.
If he does that, the US should not let its close allies get slaughtered. We should bomb the shit out of the invading Turkish troops.
But unfortunately, the US will probably stand idly by while its Kurdish allies are attacked by the Turks. Shame, shame on us.

Pretty much YES. The U.S. no longer has the moral authority it once did, because the U. S. no longer has the balls to back their mouth up. (Ask the Ukrainians how they feel about the U. s. promise to guarantee their soverignty in exchange for giving up their nukes.)
