A tenth grader beat the snot out of a gay eighth grade boy in the gym locker room at Alexandria-Morovia High School in Alexandria, Indiana. Two nearby students had their cell phones out to record the incident, which tends to indicate it was set up and planned.
The cops are, for now, denying the incident was as a gay bashing. The kids mother, who happened to be at school when it
happened, asserted that they are full of shit. The victim knows the identity of his attacker and, as one might expect, the cell phone video is making the rounds so it isn't a big secret who did it.
The school mouthpieces said they are "deeply troubled." No charges have yet been filed so they must not be that deeply troubled.
Indiana does have a hate crimes law, signed just last year. Presumably that is why the cops are trying to deny this was in fact a hate crime.
