Rush Limbaugh, who almost single-handedly brought conservative talk radio into the political forefront, announced today that he has advanced lung cancer (presumably from his years as a smoker). The 69-year old Limbaugh intends to continue on with his show, with breaks as necessary for medical treatment. Since it is considered an honor and a privilege go guest-host his show I suspect it will muddle on just fine, short and medium term in any event.

Lung cancer is a lot more survivable with proper treatment. They are working wonder at Houston MD Anderson.
