On a vote of 8-1 SCOTUS ruled that Trump CAN continue to enforce the "stay in Mexico" rule for people applying for asylum at the southern border.
The Ninth Circuit offered the opinion that the ruling was "probably illegal"
The matter will probably not be fully decided until 2021. The Trump administration will have to file a formal appeal which will have to go thru channels.
EDITOR'S NOTE: I'm confused. If SCOTUS ruled in favor of Trump on the issue, why would he have to file any appeal?

That's what I'm talking about!
The SCOTUS ruling merely invalidated the earlier 9th circuit TRO. The basic matter still has to be litigated.
