The
two items are now linked, at least for a while. The Sherwood Mall
opened about four days ago, then closed down again on Sunday due to
fears of attracting riots. I went there a couple of days ago, to the
Barnes & Noble store. I couldn't buy anything because they
deliberately shut down their WiFi to "discourage" people from lingering
in the store. I asked. That's what they told me. So I couldn't buy
any EBooks. They also shut down the "coffee shop." You could still buy
a munchie and something to wash it down with, but you couldn't park
your ass while you did so.
Both the Target and the WalMart were shut down on Sunday in order to not attract rioters.
Personally
I am not getting paranoid or stupid (IMHO) but I upgraded my carry
piece for a few days from a compact single-stack 9 mm to a full-size
Glock 10 mm. I still think there is very little chance I will have to
pull it let alone use it, but..........
A
few of the pajama-boy mayors and uber-liberal state level politicians
are now even starting to voice the idea that letting rioters burn your
city down is probably, all things considered, not a good thing. I am
unsure if they really feel that way or are merely acknowledging that it
will likely get in the way of them continuing their cushy jobs after the
next election.
