STOCKTON PLAGUE REPORT UPDATE

by Bob Walsh

Both of the major malls are more or less open, with somewhat restricted hours in many of the stores.  Most of the stores that have two entrances, one on the parking lot side and one on the mall side, have closed off their mall side entrance.  Barnes and Noble now has their WiFi back up, but it still runs like a 3-legged cow.  You can buy a sandwich or a coffee at the coffee shop but you can still not park your butt anywhere (except in the crapper).

Road traffic is back up to 90% plus of normal.  It was nice when the roads were empty.

My gym is going belly up.  24-Hour Fitness is permanently closing down both their Stockton and Manteca locations.  The one in Manteca had a really nice pool.  I spent a fair bit of time walking laps in the pool or vegging out in the spa or steam room.  (Never been much of a sauna guy.)  I hope maybe somebody else will buy it with the equipment and everything intact, but I am not betting on it.

I managed to get to the range Thursday with my great nephew.  My regular range is now taking other than members.  I gave him some trigger time on two legit target guns I own plus we both sent some rounds down range with my Ruger 9 mm PCC.  Too hot afterwards to clean them, that will wait until morning when it is cool and my bench is in the shade.

All things considered, a pretty decent day.
