CA LEGISLATURE UNABLE TO ACT TO FUCK OVER LEGAL GUN OWNERS

By Bob Walsh

The legislative year in the formerly great state of California ends August 31.  If a bill does not make it to the governor's desk in that period of time it goes bye-bye.

SB 918, an urgency matter, required 54 votes rather than the 41 vote simple majority.  It fell two votes short.  Even that anti-gun psychopath A. G. Rob Bonta was unable to scrounge up the votes.

Basically the legislature wanted to totally rewrite the state's concealed carry laws in a couple of week and couldn't do it.

Had the bill passed it would have done the following.

CCW holders would have to have 16 hours of training.  The training was not specified.  They would need THREE character references (Cartoon above [ed.]).  They could have their permit revoked for "abusing" alcohol or drugs.  The level of abuse was not specified.  Courts, government buildings, sports arenas, churches, schools and businesses where alcohol was served would be banned spaces.  Private business would also be banned unless they had signs specifically permitting concealed carry.

The bill, or something like it, will without a doubt be pursued next year.

Clearly I meant August 31,not September 31. My bad. Change of month always fakes me out.
