CAN'T KEEP THE LIGHTS ON, BUT CA CAN GO AFTER LONG-DEAD RACISTS

The University of California Hastings Law School is nationally and even internationally known as a first-rate law school.  Not any more, at least not by that name.

It seems that Serranus Clinton Hastings, who founded the school in 1878 and who was at one time a member of the California Supreme Court, positively hated Native Americans and who financed that attempt to exterminate the Yuki tribe in Mendocino County.

The new name is the College Of The Law, San Francisco.  I wonder if Kamala will request a new diploma with the new name on it?

The God-Emperor of formerly great state of California, Gavin Newsom, also signed legislation that removes the word SQUAW from over 600 geographic features and place names in CA such as lakes and streams.  Native Americans find the word offensive, with good cause.
