Rep. Karen Bass returned to her home in Baldwin Vista, Calif., Friday evening to find that her house had been burglarized and two firearms were taken
Congressional Representative Karen Bass, a candidate for
Mayor in L. A., got burgled over the weekend. Cash and electronics were
left. Two handguns which were allegedly "safely and securely stored"
were stolen. It was not clear how they were stolen if they were safely
and securely stored.
Bass' peeps said that the guns belonged to Bass and had been legally purchased and registered in her name.
In
the 1970s and 80s Bass was an organizer for the Venceremos Brigade, a
group of young people founded to show solidarity with the Cuban
communist government.
Bass
is under investigation by the FBI over a $95,000 scholarship she got
from USC back in 2011. The investigation concerns allegations of
corruption within the USC social work program.
She seems likely to win the upcoming Mayor's election.
