There
is now a wage control board in the formerly great state of California.
This board will TELL owners of fast food restaurants what they have to
supply to their workers in the way of wages, hours, benefits and other
terms and conditions of employment. (Actually the board isn't up and
running yet. The God-Emperor, Gavin Newsom, just signed the bill
today.)
The fast food
business owners, many of who are franchise holders with one or two or
three restaurants, are predicting that this will either crash some of
their outlets or price them out of the market. I doubt very much that
Gavin Newsom cares. Fast food is bad for you anyway. Stay home and eat
some fucking arugula.
