Many of the big law schools have
announced that, effective in about two years, you will no longer have
to take the LSAT to get into law school. This is because they wish to
get more inclusivity in law school and "minorities" do not do well on
the LSAT.
The real
problem will be if they drop requirements for graduating from law school
or lower requirements for passing the bar exams in the various states.
If they merely let more unprepared students INTO law school that will
just mean fewer students graduate, which may mean fewer lawyers in the
world. That might be a good thing. If they make it easier for
unqualified people to actually BECOME lawyers that will not be so
good.
