The S.F. gallery owner that Howie wrote about earlier is
being charged with misdemeanor battery for "hosing down" a homeless
woman in front of his business.
A
warrant was issued for the arrest of Collier Gwin, the owner of the
Foster Gwin Gallery, and he was taken into custody on Wednesday. the
maximum penalty for misdemeanor battery is six months in prison and a
$2,000 fine. About the same as for ADW or GTA.
The
woman, who is "known" to social services and police in the area, dumped
several garbage cans onto the sidewalk in front of the gallery and
started spitting, screaming and otherwise being very San Francisco prior
to being hosed down.
