The Splash Mountain ride will be shut down on Monday and will remain shut down for die years so it can be rebuilt because it is racist. Just thought you might like to know. Apparently riding a log boat with a splash of water at the end is somehow related to the Uncle Remus stories that were turned into a movie, Song Of The South, in 1946. As if today the wait to get on the ride at Disneyworld is four hours.
The ride will be redone as Tiana's Bayou. In about two years.

I can remember Uncle Remus story books. Brer Rabbit books were in the Houston Public Library Book Mobile that came to our small town school once a week. I'm not saying I'm old, but my kindergarten is now a one room school house museum. The teacher lived across the street in a house built by town folks and owned by the school district.
