Eric Eugen Washington, 30, made a
bad career decision a few days ago when he tried an armed robbery at a
taqueria in Houston. You probably saw the footage on the news. A
patron shot him. In the back. Several times. And then shot him several
more times when he was down. Washington died.
Members
of the New Black Panther Nation are decrying the follow-up shots as
deliberate murder, or at the very least abuse of as corpse. Really.
Quanell X said that the shooter throwing a drink at Washington while he was down was abuse of a corpse.
Corine
Goodman, Washington's mother, expressed the notion that while he did
something wrong that shooting him four more times in the back while he
was down was "abuse."
Washington
had an extensive criminal record. He was sentenced to 15 years as a
guest of the people back in 2015 for homicide but was parole in 2021.
He was charged with assaulting his girlfriend in December of 2022.
The
son of the man Washington killed all those years ago described
Washington as an evil man who enjoyed robbery and hassling people.
