SERIOUS APPEAL FILED IN DEREK CHAUVIN CASE

By Bob Walsh

Murder of George Floyd - Derek Chauvin Prosecutors

A serious appeal (as opposed to a bullshit time-waster) has been filed in the murder conviction of former Minneapolis P D officer Derek Chauvin in the death of Saint George Floyd.

Chauvin's lawyer, William Mohrman, asserted to the three-judge panel of the MN Court of Appeals that the trial judge definitely should have moved the case out of Minneapolis due to the extensive pretrial publicity and massive security precautions which could not help but prejudice the jury.  These precautions included armorer personnel carriers parked in front of the courthouse and barbed wire temporary fences.

Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill sentenced Chauvin to 22 1/2 years on his second-degree murder conviction.

Chauvin later copped to a separate federal civil rights charge and is now doing a concurrent 21 years in Arizona on that beef.

EDITOR'S NOTE: I believed the evidence showed Floyd's death resulted from a fentanyl overdose and medical issues, not from Chauvin's actions. But this was a political lynching to satisfy the bloodthirsty mobs, and for that reason no amount of appeals will ever work.

And people wonder why there aren't any police recruits. Was Chauvin sacrificed to stop the riots and appease BLM?
