Bobby Curry Jr., 20, denizen of Lakeland, Florida, is now
a guest of the county. He is believed to have beat his girlfriend's
baby to death and attempted to blame the dog.
The
cops responded to the 911 call at about 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening.
They found the 23-month old on the floor in the bathroom, unresponsive.
The youngster, Ezekiel Cotto-SaintFleur, was transported to the
hospital but did not make it.
Curry
had been dating the child's mother for four month and had recently
moved in with her and the kid. Curry was the baby sitter on the day the
child died. Curry initially claimed the child had been knocked over by
the dog and hit his head. He asserted that at the time the child
appeared to be OK and he put him down to nap. He didn't call for
medical assistance for 2 1/2 hours.
The medical people assert that the child's injuries are not consisted with Curry's explanation.
Curry is charged with Murder 1 and aggravated child abuse.
