Carly
Madison Gregg (L) is being charged with one count of murder in the death of
40-year-old Ashley Smylie, an algebra teacher at Northwest Rankin High
School.
In Jackson Mississippi on Tuesday at about 5 p.m. Carly
Madison Gregg, 14, apparently shot her mother Ashley Smylie, 40, to
death and attempted to murder her step-father Heath Smylie, 38.
Step-dad managed to get the gun away from her and she climbed the back
yard fence and beat feet. She did not get far. She is now under arrest
in the adult jail, where she was transferred from juvenile detention.
Her mom was a very well liked school teacher.
It isn't real obvious, at least yet, why the daughter decided killing her parents was a smart move.
