We made it back Saturday.  It was an adventure.  I met some interesting people and saw the sights.  The most interesting sights in London were Churchill's War Bunker and Buckingham Palace.  For the most part the food is bland and poorly prepared.  I like American Fish and Chips better than the so called famous Fish and Chips joints where we dined in London.  We traveled to Bath, UK and found the Roman Baths and infrastructure to be better than today's engineering.  We also saw the Stonehenge Rocks. By the end of the Stonehenge tour I figured out that no one really knows WTF they are.  We visited anything worth mentioning in London. The weather sucks.  I met many Coppers. Most wanted to know WTF happened to the USA?  They all agreed that Biden is an idiot and hope Trump gets re-elected.

France was much more exciting.  The police must use their sirens going to lunch.  Thieves are rampant and preying on tourists.  We wore sling bags under our jackets.  We saw a teenager steal a woman's cell phone from her hand the  run across a bridge and turn around and laugh.  We visited the Louvre, Notre Dame Church and the high end flagship stores and thank goodness the wife didn't like anything.  We dined at a street side cafe $$$$.  I met 3 French National Police Officers and they all admired US Police.  They all carry Beretta pistols.  It looks like they work 3 to a patrol unit.  French Military also patrol with long guns and have a huge barracks in the city.   I saw a take down of a driving suspect using a dog.  The National Police don't fuck around.

I exchanged patches with cops of both countries.  Arriving via email is The Royal Specialist Protection Patch. (Note the Thin Blue Line.)  The Royal Specialist Protection Command pin given to my wife who took it off his lapel.  The Specialist Operations Aviation Police Patch traded for a Texas Police Patch at Windsor Castle. He was assigned Royal Protection on Wednesday due to weather.  France National Police Transportation 10 year Anniversary for service traded to us by a Captain overseeing operations of the Eurostar Train which we rode on under the English Channel. Then the National Police Patch for Dignitary Protection.  The National Police Patch Crises Response.  All of these patches were traded for with the exception of the UK Commander Royal Protection PIn which was gifted to my wife by the Commander outside The Mews of Buckingham Palace.
