An elderly woman was killed by a California Black Bear in her home in Downieville last November.  It is the first documented fatal black bear attack in CA. since they have been keeping track.

The woman was Patrice Miller, 71.

The bear has since been located and euthanized.

Co-exitance with mother nature has its possible issues.  Being killed by mother nature is among them.

I currently have a pair of Doves nesting on my back porch. That's about all I'll allow in our space. The dogs don't like it but they can'r reach them.
