Khalid Williams
I have my doubts that a jury is
going to buy that, but that is a large part of the defense that Khalid
Williams, 33, is offering for shooting his ex, Kershawn Stewart, 35, in
the back of the head.
This
domestic drama went down on December 23 in Phoenix, AZ. Williams and
Stewart had been in a tumultuous relationship and Stewart gave him the
heave-ho to hook up with a woman who was at the time pregnant. Stewart
may have been the child's biological father. I guess that bothered
Williams that his boyfriend, what had identified as bi, was switching
sides. For some idiotic reason Stewart and his new female friend
decided to visit Williams and his new partner at Williams' apartment.
It turned to shit as one might expect and Williams apparently shot
Stewart in the back of the head.
Williams
has admitted to the act, claiming stress got to him. He also holds
both Stewart and the new g.f. largely responsible for the situation as
they had been warned to stay away from him but came over anyway. He
also asserts that they had both threatened him.
Williams
is being held pending a $1.5 million cash only bond, but will probably
not be forthcoming. He was in possession of an AK-47 when arrested,
which is problematic for him as he is a prohibited person.
