Jimmy Carter was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway, in 2002
James Earl Carter, the longest-lived former president,
moved on to that great Habitat for Humanity house in the sky on Sunday
(he would have thought that to be appropriate I'm sure) at the age of
100.
He was, I understand, a
rather bright and thoroughly decent individual. That might be why he
was a very mediocre president. The decent part, not the bright part. I
am not knocking mediocre. They can't all be Ronald Reagan. And
fortunately they can't all be Joe Biden either.
