Jimmy Carter, who passed away today at the age of 100, was certainly not one of the best presidents, but he was unquestionably our greatest post-president.

Carter was a one-term president who lost his bid for reelection to Ronald Reagan in 1980. He and wife of 77 years Rosalyn spent an unprecedented next four decades doing humanitarian work in the United States as well as throughout the world.

Jimmy will will become the sixth president to be honored with a state funeral. He certainly earned that honor.
