The bicyclist who ran down a pedestrian in a crosswalk in the Castro District in San Francisco about 11 months ago is being held over for trial on felony vehicular manslaughter charges.

Chris Bucchere, 36, plowed into Sutchi Hui, 71, during the morning rush hour. Hui died four days later. Many witnesses report that Bucchere was blowing red lights all down Market Street. There is disagreement between experts as to whether or not Bucchere blew the red light at the accident scene.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Hmmm, I wonder if the cops had tried to stop Bucchere and he ran straight at them on his bicycle, could they have shot at him like they do when they jump in front of a the car of a suspect they are trying to stop?
