There was a robbery at a store on S. El Dorado St. in San Joaquin County about 2130 on Monday. A witness spotted the crime, called it in, and followed the suspect away from the store, calling the cops as he went.

The suspect fired five shots at the witness who was following him, all five hitting the witness’ vehicle. (Not bad shooting actually.) The witness was slightly injured by glass splinters.

The suspect was caught on an on-ramp to I-5 with the gun and money still in his possession. The 17-year old suspect is now in custody.

Hopefully the City of Stockton will reimburse this hero for the damage incurred to his vehicle.

Oh wait. They're broke.

Never mind...
