In several of his posts, Bob Walsh mentioned that the pollsters got it wrong in our presidential election.
Bob also had a couple of posts on the French election in which he acknowledged that Emmanuel Macron led Marine Le Pen in the polls but reminded us that the polls got it wrong with the Trump and the British ‘Brexit’ elections.
Well, the pollsters did get Sunday’s French election wrong. Up until Sunday, the polls showed Macron leading Le Pen by 20 points. Did they ever get that wrong! Instead of winning by 20 points, Macron beat Le Pen by 32 points.
Macron, 39, becomes France’s youngest president since Napoleon.
The president-elect’s wife, Brigitte Trogneux, is more than 24 years older than her husband. Brigitte was one of Emmanuel’s former high school teachers. Looks like a teacher fucking one of her students is no big deal in France. Vive la France!
