THE GREAT ESCAPE

And the inmate flees right into the booking area of the Jackson County, Indiana jail where he was likely rebooked immediately on an escape charge.

I'm always amazed at officers who are dumbfounded when an inmate attempts to escape. I always looked at it like that was their job. I worked with a retired Airforce guy that told me there were 2000 convicts on our unit and everyone of them wanted out.

One night he opened the pipe chase door to look around. He found two inmates in the pipe chase. They were trying to escape by way of the roof.

I find it remarkable how many times that happens. Suspended ceilings are dangerous.
