TRUMP STILL HAS BAD CASE OF FOOT-IN-MOUTH DISEASE

After declaring a national emergency, Trump said “I didn’t need to do this”

When congress only gave him $1.375 billion for the wall, much less than the $5.7 billion he wanted, Trump declared a national emergency Friday to obtain what he wants by shifting funds from other programs such as military construction funds.

Trump’s declaration is meant to bypass congress for the funds he wants. The declaration is sure to be challenged in the courts and will likely reach the Supreme court before a final ruling comes down, probably not until sometime next year.

During a press conference in the Rose Garden on Friday, Trump said: “I want to do it faster. I could do the wall over a longer period of time. I didn't need to do this.”

Ouch! Talk about kneecapping himself. That remark – I didn’t need to do this - just about makes the case for his court challengers.

Just goes to show Trump still has a bad case of foot-in-mouth disease.

Regarding your last sentence Howie...no argument there. Trump is pushing a much needed change of direction in this country. Doesn't mean he's perfect. Or even likable for that matter. Just needed.
