Gavin Newsom, the all-knowing benevolent dictator of the
formerly great state of California, signed a bill into law yesterday
permitting the sale of E-15 gasoline in CA. He is apparently truly
desperate to increase the available gasoline supply in CA prior to his
runup for the 2028 presidential election.
I
am unsure of what the market effect will be. Most CA gas stations do
not have E-15 pumps and most CA specific vehicles are not tuned for E-15
fuel so I don't know how much it will help.
Perhaps it really is the thought that counts.
