Back in 2019 there was a mass shooting at the Garlic
Festival in Gilroy, CA. Three people died. It results in a lawsuit
being filed against the guns manufacturer, Century Arms, by the family
of one of the victims, because their gun was used in the shooting.
Last
year the Vermont Federal District Judge, William Sessions, ruled that
the case could proceed. Last week he reversed himself in light of
recent Supreme Court rulings, and tossed the case. It is unknow if the
plaintiffs will proceed with an appeal.

The Garlic Festival has restarted again, though not as big as it used to be. Takes time for the shock to wear off I guess.
The case was filed in Vermont because Century has a manufacturing facility there.
