The Proposition 50 ballot is the only item on the ballot
in CA this November. I have voted by absentee ballot (mail return) for
about 30 years. No biggie. There is, however, something interesting
about the ballot this time around.
The
return envelope has a hole in it, both sides. This allows a person to
tell at a glance whether or not there is in fact a ballot (or at least a
piece of paper) in the return envelope. I assume there is a good
reason for doing that.
The
trouble is, this time around, depending on which way you fold your
ballot it is possible to see which way you voted because the NO box
lines up perfectly with this hole.
Does
this mean there will be a rash of ballots being shitcanned because they
are obvious NO votes? I would like to think not but since a LOT of
people are clearly suffering from TDS and at least some of these people
will be involved in the process in at least some of the processing
stations I confess to being concerned. And it isn't exactly a secret.
Just saying.
