Treason? Naw. If Faisal Shahzad is convicted of whatever charges are filed against him, just give the stupid shit probation and 300 hours of community service.
A good community service assignment would be for him to give talks to high school freshmen assemblies on the importance of paying attention in school. Shahzad obviously did not pay attention in bomb-making class.
