THE TRUE MEANING OF 'SERVICE'

I was confused when I heard the word 'service' used in the following ways:

Internal Revenue Service
U.S. Postal Service
Public Service
Telephone Service
Cable TV Service
Civil Service
Health Care Service
Banking Service
Investment Service
Customer Service
Technical Service

This is not what I thought 'service' meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking and one of them said he had rented a bull to 'service' a few cows.

BAM!!! It all came into focus. I now understand what all those services are doing to us.
