Israel is being condemned for leaving and not returning to the Egyptian truce negotiations as Hamas continues to fire rockets from Gaza
It doesn’t matter to the International community that Israel is still under rocket fire from Gaza. It only matters that Israel won’t talk to the Palestinians.
Throughout its short history, Israel has always been held to a different standard than the rest of the world. Israel’s latest truce was broken by Hamas shortly before it was to expire. When the rocket firing resumed, the Israeli delegation discontinued its talks with the Palestinians and headed back home. There is no sense in talking to the Palestinians until the IDF has succeeded in stopping Hamas from firing its rockets at Israel.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel would stay away from Egyptian-mediated truce talks with Hamas as long as Palestinian rocket and mortar attacks from the Gaza Strip continued.
"Israel will not negotiate under fire," Netanyahu said in broadcast remarks at the weekly meeting of his cabinet, in Tel Aviv.
"At no stage did we declare (Israel's military offensive) was over," he said. "The operation will continue until its objective - the restoration of quiet over a protraced period - is achieved. I said at the beginning and throughout the operation - it will take time, and stamina is required."
