A female skydiver impacted hard near the Lodi Parachute Center on Sunday. She had packed her own chute, which failed to properly deploy. While tragic, my sympathy is limited. Anyone who voluntarily jumps out of a perfectly good aircraft for kicks is taking a risk, and knows he or she is taking a risk. If something goes wrong it will likely not be insignificant. Damn shame but like I said, my sympathy is limited.
