LINE UP AMIGOS

The US, in cooperation with Mexico, will set up body scans at border crossings in Juárez, Chihuahua, and El Paso.

Mexico’s Reforma reports the Us and Mexico are cooperating to set up body scans at the pedestrian lanes of border crossings in Juárez, Chihuahua, and El Paso. The State Department notified possible suppliers on October 10 that it plans to purchase 14 of the scanners.

There will be two types, one that detects contraband hidden under clothing and the other that detects ingested contraband that would otherwise be detected by X-ray in a hospital.

The devices are expected to scan up to100 people per hour. Only suspicious persons will be subjected to the scanners.

This is a pilot program to see how effective the scanners will be in detecting contraband and stopping its flow into the US.

Sounds fair to me. OF course to my mind anybody who voluntarily goes to Mexico is suspicious, or unbalanced, or both.
