Some people are just stuck on stupid. Jessica Warren, 42, of New Hampshire appears to be one such.
In January of 2018 she was convicted of misdemeanor driving while under suspension. In September of 2018 she ran down and killed Sgt. Patrick Bettens, a N H Corrections Officer and military veteran, while he was training for a triathlon. Under N H law the second offense is a Class B felony. Warren has been charged with the felony and faces up to seven years as a guest of the people if convicted.
Sgt. Battens leaves a wife and two children. He was riding a bicycle as part of his training when Warren tail-ended him and dragged him a considerable distance. She also hit a parked car in the process.
