The formerly great state of California may commandeer hotels to use for non-medical housing for persons under quarantine. There is already one hotel being used for this purpose and Governor Newsom may decide the state needs more. He is also waiving some civil service rules regarding use of retired annuitants and overtime work hours to ensure that staffing is available for whatever may come. (Like seizing firearms from people.)
