The Federal BOP has announced that the penitentiary at Lompoc, CA. has had a major outbreak of Covid-19 among both staff and prisoners. I got this from a very short blurb on the broadcast news Friday night with no real information beyond that.
The total numbers are over 800, almost 70% of the inmate population, and include 11 staff members.
