A small bio-tech operation in CA announced yesterday that they have an antibody treatment that has, thus far, been 100% effective in preventing Covid-19 from attaching to living cells, which means it can not reproduce or survive long in the human body. So far, it has been tested only at the cellular level. They are preparing to test it on small furry animals very soon and have applied for an accelerated testing protocol.
Also, assuming they were not lying to the new people, they are spending their own money to put the thing into production pretty much immediately so that, if they get approval, they will be able to start distribution with zero delay.
It isn't a vaccine, and it isn't even a cure in the traditional sense, but if it works I don't think most people will care what they call it. We will see what shakes out in a few weeks.
