California Democrat assemblywoman tweets 'Fuck Elon Musk' after billionaire Tesla founder revealed plan to move his factory 'to Texas or Nevada immediately' after the state said his plant can't reopen during the pandemic

A California Democrat assemblywoman had choice words for entrepreneur Elon Musk after he announced that he plans to move the Tesla HQ to Texas and Nevada 'immediately' after a California county health official said that his plant could not reopen.

'Fuck Elon Musk,' San Diego assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez tweeted Satuday.

Gonzalez's statement drew both praise and condemnation, particularly from people who pointed out the number of job losses if the Tesla factory moves. Tesla's Freemont factory employs 10,000 people.

Unlike Gonzalez, Texas and Nevada Republicans were quick to embrace Musk's plans.

Elon Musk and Tesla have the only automobile manufacturing plant left in the formerly great state of California. Though Musk was smart enough to set up his battery manufacturing plant elsewhere. He isn't a complete idiot.

Anyway the Governor of the formerly great state of California just said that manufacturing can start up again with appropriate safeguards. At the same time Alameda County, where the plant is located, EXTENDED their stay-at-home orders. The county health department said specifically that the former NUUMI-GM plant must remain shut down. At that time Musk went 5150 on Twitter, said he is going to sue and that effective "immediately" he is shutting down in CA and moving out.

Musk had previously sent out an email to production staff that the plant would start back up in a limited fashion on Friday.

Musk described the order as "..the final straw..."

Shortly after that Lorena Gonzalez, an assembly Democrat from San Diego, tweeted, "Fuck Elon Musk." She is apparently a real class act and is desperately worried about retaining manufacturing jobs in California. Or not.

I confess I don't know how much direct oversight Musk has with operations these days, but I wouldn't be surprised if he starts winding down in CA. They want the tax money, and they want the tech, but the actual manufacturing is just oooh so tacky, don't you think? That isn't really the sort of thing we should be doing in California. We are way too cool for that.
