Ron
Weiser is a member of the Board of Regents of the University of
Michigan. He is also the head of the Michigan Republican Party. He is
also either a serious misogynist asshole or a religious bigot.
He
referred to three female politicians in the state as "witches" who
should be "ready for burning at the stake." Fellow members of the
board have called for his resignation.
The
badly written news piece I got this from sort-of says the female
targets of his original comment were Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Attorney
General Dana Nessel and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.
Just goes to show you. Assholes come in all variations of quasi-humanity.
