A 17-year-old Texas girl has died after she was allegedly stabbed by her twin brother while their parents were sleeping early Wednesday, authorities said.

The girl, whose identity has not been released, was discovered suffering from stabbing wounds in her bedroom around 4:45 a.m. at her home north of Katy, news station KTRK reported.

When authorities arrived, they found her brother giving CPR to the girl, who was pronounced dead at the scene, the outlet reported.

It’s not clear what led to the stabbing.

Harris County Sgt. Greg Pinkins said the brother “made no statements when deputies arrived,” though they believe he was the one who called 911, news station KHOU reported.

Officers took the brother into custody and have recovered the knife that they believe was used, the outlets reported.

Authorities have not released the identity of the twin brother.

The family has refused to allow deputies inside to search the rest of the property for evidence, so authorities are working on obtaining a search warrant, KTRK reported.

ADDENDUM: The Daily Mail reports "the Texas boy, 17, told police he was SLEEPING when he stabbed his twin sister to death in her bed and only realized he wasn't dreaming when he pulled the knife out of her neck.  (Ed. And pigs can fly.)

Commenting to the statement in parenthesis "and pigs can fly" which seems the writer is saying towards the 17 year old boy's statement that he thought he was dreaming until he pulled the knife out of his sister's neck, is a lie, a falsehood, a load of crap, or bologna. I wasn't there so I can't know what occurred with this boy and his sister, but sleep walking has been used in court as a defense for murder successfully before, A man killed his mother-in-law while in a sleep walking state, and the jury found him not guilty. So, I guess in the world of the writer who wrote statement Pigs do fly!
By the way, for a reporter of news to be truly unbiased, it is expected that they should not give their own personal opinion of an article that they report, or write. Readers have a right to make their own opinions, and to not be influenced by the very author of the news article. Sticking their opinion in with the news, makes them untrustworthy, and suspicious, and I also add that most of the story is cut up, like only parts of other stories were posted, and selected by the author of the post. I wonder...what was not posted but included in the other articles?
